Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, an A+ Superior rated Insurance company.  We are seeking a Sr. Personal Lines Product Analyst to assist us in the implementation of our Personal Lines business throughout the US. This will be an opportunity to get in on the ground floor in Berkshire Hathaway GUARD’s entry into personal lines insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of new personal lines products to ensure successful growth in personal lines while maintaining compliance with state rules and regulations.
  • Responsible to ensure the products in our system are properly configured and to suggest any enhancements or modifications to our internal systems, while working with the business analyst and IT.
  • Work with executives on competitive rating and state product management including analyzing and interpreting market information and assure execution is within regulatory/legislative guidelines.
  • Assist in development of overall product management and pricing framework.
  • Assist with creating and analyzing premium, loss data and other key reports to ensure success of products for the assigned states.
  • Work with management to ensure that profitability objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • 4 + years of industry experience and product management to include advanced knowledge and understanding of personal lines products, fundamental underwriting principals, and pricing.
  • Prior product implementation experience preferred.
  • Must be well versed in homeowners policy forms and products.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Completion of a general insurance course such as API (Associate in Personal Insurance) or CPCU is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
  • Must possess and exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role.
