BH GUARD currently offers an excellent opportunity for a State Filings Representative to guide our next stage of growth at Berkshire Hathaway Guard Insurance Companies. The position can be located in either Wilkes-Barre, PA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and Parsippany, NJ.

Responsibilities

The State Filings Representative is responsible for rate, rule and form filings with all relevant insurance departments and bureaus.
 

Duties include: preparation and development of filings for forms, rates and rules with various state insurance departments;handling responses to objections through communication with insurance departments; collaborating with various internal departments to create a final filing product and address compliance matters; answering inquiries directed toward the department; along with other activities as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • All applicants should have at least five years of experience in State Filings and/or Regulatory Compliance at an admitted Property and Casualty Insurance carrier.  
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must, as is a sense of organization and prioritization! 
  • A successful candidate should possess an analytical mindset, and have the flexibility to work on multiple projects with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
