Responsibilities

As a Scrum Master, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and coaching our Data Product Teams. The primary responsibility will be to apply the Scrum framework effectively, ensuring high-quality work and timely project delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work with the Data product manager to manage the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with Agile/Scrum quality standards for deliverables at the end of each sprint.
  • Continually evaluate the team's Agile practices and processes and propose improvements as necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent environment, encouraging communication between team members.
  • Resolve impediments, find solutions to keep team on track
  • Regularly report progress to stakeholders and upper management through automation and customization of the Azure ADO
  • Understand the Data Product Lifecycle and support during discovery, development, deployment & maintenance phase.
  • Use Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, and tracking work items.
  • Help Data Product Teams adapt to changes effectively.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a data-focused environment.
  • Extensive experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Understanding of data product management principles.
  • Ability to identify dependencies and solve associated problems creatively and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
