Responsibilities

The Property Claims Associate is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Investigating losses and determining coverage while providing superior customer service
  • Obtaining and reviewing evidence, reports, and records
  • Establishing damages and reserves
  • Processing payments
  • Taking statements from insureds and witnesses
  • Evaluating policies and contract language to identify coverage issues
  • Drafting no coverage letters

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize
  • The ability to make decisions independently and to multitask
  • Prior experience adjusting property claims is preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but a High School Diploma or GED is required
  • If not already licensed, must be able to successfully pass Texas Adjuster licensing exam upon hire and to obtain and maintain any other adjuster licenses as required
