Responsibilities

Are you ready to make a difference in the world of property claims? Join our dynamic team as a Property Claims Representative and be at the forefront of providing exceptional service and support to our valued customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough office investigations and adjust property claims with precision and care.
  • Investigate losses and determine coverage including taking detailed statements from insureds and involved parties and reviewing inspection reports.
  • Consistently deliver superior customer service via oral and written communication with internal and external parties.
  • Obtain and review evidence, reports, and records to establish damages and reserves.
  • Reconcile and negotiate claims to ensure fair, reasonable, and timely resolutions.
  • Ensure payments are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Evaluate policies and contract language to identify coverage issues and draft applicable letters.
  • Participate in Catastrophic claim handling protocols to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Negotiate claim settlements with Attorneys and/or Public Adjusters.
  • Actively participate in alternative dispute resolution including but not limited to appraisals, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Maintain active oversight in collaboration with legal teams while continuing to adjust litigated files.
  • Identify potential need for Subro/SIU involvement.

Qualifications

  • Roughly 3 - 7 years of experience in adjusting property complex losses with potential damages in excess of $150,000.00.
  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, high school diploma/GED is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies and mitigation protocols in the context of property losses, facilitating the accurate evaluation and adjustment of claimed damages.
  • Experience with commercial and/or E&S claims preferred.
  • Experience with Attorney/Public Adjuster represented and/or litigated files preferred.
  • An adjuster license is preferred, or the ability to successfully pass the Texas Adjuster licensing exam upon hire and obtain and maintain any other adjuster licenses as required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The ability to make decisions independently and multitask efficiently.
