Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Legal Intern to support critical departmental functions while gaining exposure to real-world legal processes within the insurance industry from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. As a Legal Intern, you will assist with a variety of responsibilities, including:

 

Legal Department Support:

  • Opening and organizing new legal matters
  • Preparing responses to subpoenas
  • Performing litigation‑related data entry
  • Assisting with document preparation and file management
  • Observing legal proceedings such as trials, depositions, and other litigation activities (as opportunities arise)
  • Providing support on special projects as assigned

Claims Legal Operations Support

  • Completing data entry and documentation workflows
  • Assisting with operational or administrative projects
  • Collaborating with claims and legal staff as needed

This internship offers the opportunity to learn how legal functions intersect with insurance operations, policy interpretation, and litigation processes.

 

 

Qualifications

We welcome applicants who are:

  • Pursuing a degree in Law, Legal Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related fields preferred
  • Detail‑oriented and comfortable handling confidential information
  • Strong communicators with excellent organization skills
  • Ready to learn, adaptable, and able to work independently or with a team
  • Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm for the duration of the internship
