The QA Engineering Manager leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of
enterprise test automation strategies, frameworks, and quality engineering practices. This role provides
technical leadership and governance across engineering teams, driving automation adopti on, mentoring
team members, and partnering with business, product, development, DevOps, and vendor resources to
ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions that align with organizational
objectives.
Strategic Quality Leadership
• Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-level automated testing frameworks
using Tricentis Tosca and other automation technologies.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's quality engineering strategy,
ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase automation coverage, reduce testing
cycle times, and enhance software quality across the organization.
• Identify and recommend testing solutions, tools, and processes that can be leveraged across
multiple value streams and technology teams.
Enterprise Collaboration & Enablement
• Partner with product, development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to understand testing
needs and design scalable automation solutions that support delivery objectives.
• Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for quality engineering best practices across the
organization.
• Establish and maintain automation standards, governance frameworks, and guardrails to ensure
consistency and sustainability across teams.
• Support the successful adoption of automation frameworks by providing guidance, training, and
consultation to engineering teams.
Mentorship & Community Building
• Mentor and coach QA engineers, automation engineers, and team members on automation best
practices, test design, quality engineering principles, and framework utilization.
• Accelerate onboarding and development of team members by providing technical leadership,
knowledge sharing, and hands-on support.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to promote maintainable, scalable, and
reusable automation solutions.
• Foster a culture of quality ownership and continuous learning throughout the organization.
Vendor & Resource Management
• Collaborate with external vendor partners to ensure appropriate testing expertise, capacity, and
support are aligned with organizational priorities.
• Evaluate resource needs and recommend strategies for optimizing quality engineering
capabilities across internal and external teams.
• Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for expanding automation capabilities and
improving testing effectiveness through strategic investments and partnerships.
Technical Quality Engineering
• Define and enforce best practices for test automation, code quality, test data management, and
quality engineering processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments.
• Analyze test coverage, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve testing effectiveness
and efficiency.
• Partner with product and development teams to define and execute testing strategies for
complex applications, integrations, and enterprise systems.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent
professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, including experience
leading complex automation initiatives.
• Strong experience with additional automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps and cloud
platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Demonstrated experience managing or supervising employees, including coaching, goal setting,
development planning, feedback, and performance management.
• Proven ability to lead through influence, build alignment across teams, and translate quality
strategy into practical execution plans.
• Experience collaborating with vendor partners and managing resource capacity, delivery
expectations, and knowledge transfer.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• ISTQB Certified Tester - Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer
• Certified Agile Test Leader (CATL)
• Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
• Certified Jenkins Engineer (CJE)
Salary Range $65,900.70 - $152,611.80
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good-faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
